Krakow airport to city centre by train

I highly recommend using public transport if you don’t want to deal with the traffic or find a parking space at the airport. My personal favourite is the train. Kraków Lotnisko train station is located at Balice Airport. It has excellent connections to the centre of Kraków. A train ticket from Kraków Airport to Kraków Main Station (Kraków Główny) costs 17 zlotys (£3.30/$4.25) and the journey takes about 17 minutes. It’s a really quick, convenient and affordable option that I always recommend.

Airport Taxi

You can always take a taxi if you don’t want to think about using public transport. There are official taxi ranks at Balice Airport, where you can hop into one as soon as you leave the terminal, but it’s worth noting that the cost of taking a taxi can be quite high. You can expect to pay between PLN 80 and PLN 150 (GBP 15-30 / USD 20-40) for a trip from Balice Airport to the centre of Krakow. Of course, if you have a lot of luggage or are tired after a long journey, a comfortable and fast taxi ride may be the perfect solution for you.
